Bringing a bit of Belarusian cooking skills and Midwestern farming history to Cincinnati, The Pickled Pig is a one-of-a-kind deli. You can order up a classic grilled cheese, a roasted veggie Baba, or egg salad sandwich and top it with their smoked pulled pork, bacon, or turkey. If you're looking for a side with your sandwich, peer into their deli case to find potato salad, beet and apple salad, Baklajan, or the traditional egg salad. You could also make your own big, bold, and briny sandwich at home when you grab some of their Kimchee pickles, Georgian cabbage, smoked pulled chicken, and dill kraut.

Scherpie's Produce & Deli

503 E. Ross Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45217

Scherpie's Produce and Deli is an integral part of the St. Bernard neighborhood, offering wholesome, high-quality food fresh from the farm. Their menu includes sandwiches with Boars Head meats, salad sandwiches, and single-layered eats that are delicious, but anyone who's been to Scherpie's will tell you that you must order a Double Decker to get the true experience. Create your own with double-layered sandwich with three pieces of fresh bread and your choice of toppings. Don't forget to grab a bag of chips and an ice-cold drink to wash it all down with!

Head down to Silverglades on 8th for excellent deli meats that they season and roast themselves every day. A classic downtown deli and specialty food stand, Silverglades on 8th is nearly 100 years old and is the city's oldest family-owned and operated deli. They have legendary salads, locally baked breads, and amazing meats from around the world. All of their salads, soups, and sides are homemade, and their full espresso and smoothie bars offer that extra kick you need to keep the day rolling smooth. Grab one of their gourmet sandwiches like the Cuban, the Parma Caprese, or the Renaissance, which was voted the best chicken salad sandwich in Cincy. If you happen to be around Findlay Market, you can stop by their sister location right inside.

You may know Fred & Gari's for their amazing pizza voted the best by Cincinnati Magazine, but we're here to tell you that the freshly roasted meats in their gourmet deli are just as tasty! We recommend heading to their deli for dinner so you can order a stacked sandwich, a hearty soup made from scratch, and finish with one of their homemade desserts.

Caffe Barista and Deli

231 W. 4th St., Cincinnati, OH 45202

Add a little flavor and style to your lunch at Caffe Barista and Deli. They've got over a dozen deli sandwiches made to order hot or cold, each served with a pickle half and crispy chips. Although we could go for a classic Cuban sandwich, a Reuben, or a club, we might blaze a new trail and order up a Jerk turkey and ranch, a chipotle chicken, or a Cajun roast beef sandwich. Be sure to check which sandwich is on special and pair it with a hot cup of soup.
